ဒီတစ္ပတ္မွာ မွားေလ့ရွိေသာ အဂၤလိပ္စာ အမွားမ်ား အနက္က ဒီတစ္ပတ္မွာေတာ့ Infinitive မ်ား အေၾကာင္းကို စတင္ ေရးသားလိုက္ပါတယ္။

Can + infinitive without to
- My mother can to swim very well. ×
- My mother can swim very well.√
အေမက ကၽြမ္းကၽြမ္းက်င္က်င္ ေရကူးတတ္တယ္။

Could + infinitive without to
- I could not to see you yesterday. ×
- I could not/ couldn’t see you yesterday. √
မင္းကို ငါ မေန႔က မေတြ႔ခဲ့ဘူး။

May + infinitive without to
- May I to visit you next weekend? ×
- May I visit you next weekend? √
လာမယ့္ ပိတ္ရက္မွာ မင္းဆီကို လာလည္လို႔ ရမလား
ခြင့္ျပဳခ်က္တစ္ခုခု ေတာင္းခံတဲ့အခါ May I ေနာက္က verb တိုက္႐ိုက္လိုက္ၿပီးေတာ့ Allow me ေနာက္ကေတာ့ to + V လိုက္ပါတယ္။

Might + infinitive without to
- He might to come in the morning. ×
- He might come in the morning. √
မနက္ပိုင္းမွာ သူ လာေကာင္းလာ ႏိုင္တယ္။

Must + infinitive without to
- I must to see her at her office. ×
- I must see her at her office. √
ကၽြန္ေတာ္ သူ(မ) ကို သူ(မ)ရဲ႕ ႐ံုးမွာ သြားေတြ႔ရမယ္။

Can, could, will, would, shall, should စသည့္ Auxiliary မ်ားေနာက္တြင္ to မလိုဘဲ တိုက္႐ိုက္ verb လိုက္ႏုိ္င္ပါတယ္။

Let + infinitive without to
- Tom’s father would not let him to go out. ×
- Tom’s father would not let him go out. √
တြမ္ရဲ႕ အေဖက သူ႔ကုိ အျပင္ထြက္ဖို႔ ခြင့္မျပဳဘူး

Make (to force) + infinitive without to
- You can’t make Mary to understand. ×
- You can’t make Mary understand. √
ေမရီနားလည္ေအာင္ မင္းမလုပ္ႏုိင္ဘူး

See + infinitive without to
- They saw him to leave the house. ×
- They saw him leave the house. √
သူအိမ္က ထြက္ခြာတာကို သူတို႔က ေတြ႔ခဲ့တယ္။
The saw him leaving house. လို႔ သံုးရင္လည္း မွန္ပါတယ္။

Watch + infinitive without to
- I watched the girls to play hockey. ×
- I watched the girls play hockey. √
ေကာင္မေလးေတြ ေဟာ္ကီ ကစားေနတာကို ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ၾကည့္ခဲ့တယ္။
ထုိ႔အတူ I watched the girls playing hockey. လို႔ သံုးရင္လည္း မွန္ပါတယ္။

Hear + infinitive without to
- We heard him to speak in English. ×
- We heard him speak in English. √
သူ အဂၤလိပ္လို ေျပာတာကို ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ၾကားခဲ့တယ္။
We heard him speaking in English. လို႔လည္း သံုးႏိုင္ပါတယ္။

Feel + infinitive without to
- I could feel her heart to beat. ×
- I could feel her heart beat. √
- I could feel her heart beating. √
သူ(မ)ရဲ႕ ႏွလံုးခုန္သံကို ကၽြန္ေတာ္ၾကားတယ္။

Let, make, see, watch, hear, feel စသည့္ verb မ်ားေနာက္တြင္ V+ing နဲ႔ to+V ပံုစံႏွစ္မ်ိဳးလံုး လိုက္ႏုိင္ၿပီး to+V ပံုစံမွာ to မပါဘဲ verb တိုက္႐ိုက္လိုက္ၿပီး သံုးပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ Passive ပံုစံဆိုရင္ေတာ့ to မျဖဳတ္ဘဲ to+V ပံုစံနဲ႔ အသံုးျပဳႏုိင္ပါတယ္။ ဥပမာ -
He was seen to leave the house.
He was heard to speak in English.

အဂၤလိပ္ဘာသာစကား ေလ့လာသူေတြ မွန္မွန္ကန္ကန္ အသံုးျပဳႏိုင္ၾကပါေစ ……
