Mr Jones had a few days’ holiday, so he said, ‘I’m going to go the mountains by train.’ (မစၥတာ ဂ်ဳံးတစ္ေယာက္ ဟာ အားလက္ရက္ ရတဲ့အတြက္ ေတာင္တန္းေတြဆီ ရထားနဲ႔ ခရီးသြားမယ္ လို႔ ေျပာတယ္)He put on his best clothes, took a small bag, went to the station and got into the train. (သူရဲ႕ အေကာင္းဆံုး အဝတ္အစားေတြ ဝတ္ၿပီးေတာ့ အိတ္ေလးကိုယူကာ ဘူတာကိုသြား၊ ၿပီးေတာ့ ရထားေပၚတက္ခဲ့တယ္။) He had a beautiful hat, and he often put his head out of the window during the trip and looked at the mountains. (သူက ဦးထုပ္လွလွေလးလည္း ေဆာင္းထားေသးတယ္၊ ခရီးသြားေနတုန္း ျပတင္းေပါက္ ေခါင္းကို ခဏခဏ ထုတ္ထုတ္ၿပီးေတာ့ ေတာင္တန္...းေတြကို ၾကည့္ခဲ့တယ္။) But the wind pulled his hat off. (ဒါေပမဲ့ ေလက သူ႔ဦးထုပ္ကို သုတ္လိုက္တယ္။)
Mr Jones quickly took his old bag and threw that out of the window too. (မစၥတာ ဂ်ဴံးဟာ ခပ္သြက္သြက္ပဲ သူ႔အိတ္ကို ယူၿပီး ျပတင္းေပါက္က လြင့္ပစ္လိုက္တယ္။)
The other people in the carriage laughed. (ရထားတြဲထဲမွာ ပါတဲ့သူေတြက ရယ္ၾကတာေပါ့။) ‘Is your bag going to bring your beautiful hat back?’ they asked. (ခင္ဗ်ားရဲ႕အိတ္က ခင္ဗ်ားရဲ႕ ဦးထုပ္ကို ျပန္ယူလာမွာလား လို႔ သူတို႔က ေမးၾကတယ္။)
‘No,’ Mr Jones answered, ‘but there’s no name and no address in my hat, and there’s a name and an address on the bag. (မယူလာပါဘူး လို႔ မစၥတာဂ်ဴံးက ေျဖလိုက္တယ္၊ ဒါေပမဲ့ ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ဦးထုပ္မွာ နာမည္ နဲ႔ လိပ္စာ မပါဘူးေလဗ်ာ၊ အိတ္မွွာေတာ့ နာမည္ နဲ႔ လိပ္စာ ပါတယ္ေလ။) Someone’s going to find both of them near each other, and he’s going to send me the bag and the hat.’ (တစ္ေယာက္ေယာက္ က အဲဒီ ဦးထုတ္နဲ႔ အိတ္ကို နီးနီးနားနား ေတြ႕ရင္ အိပ္နဲ႔ ဦးထုပ္ကို ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ဆီ ျပန္ပို႔မွာေပါ့ဗ် …။)
